Thai Ha

Thai Ha has been a part of Natural8’s Team Hot crew for quite some time now, and given his prowess in Short Deck events, it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a poker superstar. Let’s delve into the career of Vietnam’s #2 ranked tournament player and take a look at the accomplishments of Natural8’s Thai Ha.

Rise To Fame

Thai Ha's poker career has been marked by a series of remarkable achievements in prestigious tournaments, solidifying his reputation as a formidable player. His journey began in 2013 when he participated in regional poker tournaments across his home country. However, his breakthrough came in 2016 when he secured victory in the WPT Deepstacks $350 NLH event, earning an impressive $230,422 in winnings.

In the following year, Thai Ha's poker prowess continued to shine as he cashed in five events at the 2017 World Series of Poker (WSOP), amassing over $50,000 in winnings. Just a few weeks later, he claimed victory in the $400 No Limit Hold'em Deepstack event in Atlantic City, adding another $40,000 to his impressive earnings.

With a string of successes behind him, Thai Ha embarked on a journey to conquer larger tournament series, including events hosted by the World Poker Tour (WPT), World Series of Poker (WSOP), and partypoker Live.

Biggest Accolades

While he achieved moderate success in the beginning of his career, his career soon took a monumental turn when he delved into the world of Short Deck poker. In 2019, Thai Ha showcased his Short Deck prowess by securing a remarkable second-place finish in the $10,000 WSOP Short Deck No Limit Hold'em event, pocketing over $183,000 in prize money. Later that same year, he achieved another second-place finish, this time in the €25,500 Short Deck High Roller event, raking in an impressive sum of over $500,000.

On July 12, 2023, Thai Ha achieved a significant milestone in his poker career at the 54th WSOP held in Las Vegas, United States. In the highly competitive WSOP, featuring a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em - Short Deck format, Thai Ha emerged as the triumphant champion. His exceptional skills and strategic gameplay led him to claim the coveted WSOP bracelet and the first-place title, along with a substantial cash prize of $111,170.

All of these tournament accomplishments have taken him to the #2 spot on Hendon Mob’s Vietnam All-Time Money List at the time of writing, with over $2.6 million in total live earnings, and we’re sure that he has the skills to climb to the very top soon.

Summary

We’re thrilled to have a Short Deck specialist as part of the Team Hot crew, as it’s an incredibly fun and exciting game that more people need to know about. We hope that with Thai Ha’s help, we can spread awareness of this great game to a wider audience, and we can’t wait to see Thai Ha’s performance in the next high roller Short Deck event.
