APT Incheon Mystery Bounty Hunter Sponsored by Natural8

We saw a combined 368 entries across the two flights of the KRW 225,000,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty Hunter tournament, sponsored by Natural8 Poker. This tournament has created quite a buzz at APT Incheon, and that interest has helped us smash the guarantee. There’s a total of KRW 257,011,200 (~$194,060) to play for, including the mystery bounties.

Day 1 Chip Leaders

In a bounty tournament, it’s essential that you make it through Day 1 with a big chip stack, as this allows you to pick up bounties from the short stacks and increase the potential return on investment. With a KRW 20,000,000 (~$15,100) bounty up for grabs for one lucky player, many players were gambling early on to try and build a big stack.

One of the players who successfully managed to bring a big stack through to Day 2 was Vladislav Klepikov of Russia. He built his stack up to 900,000 chips in Flight A of this event, making him the chip leader going into Day 2.

We also saw notable Hong Kong tournament player Dicky Siu Hang Tsang bring through a big stack. Dicky, who won the KRW 1,200,000 + 120,000 Main Event at Incheon in 2019, took 589,000 through to Day 2 and will be looking to use his experience to make a deep run in this event.

Artem Sofronov of Russia rounded out the top three in Flight A, as he bagged 438,000 chips. We also saw Natural8 Team Hot Pro Hua-Wei Lin make it through, but with only 92,000 chips, she’ll have a lot of work to do on Day 2.

While Flight B had almost the exact same number of entrants, the chip stacks were a lot more condensed, as the chip leader at the end of the day was Tun Wing Wong from China, who brought forward 531,000 chips. Just behind them with 495,000 chips was Kun-Han Lee from Taiwan, who will be looking to add to his three APT titles on Day 2, as will Taiwan’s Hsing Hsiung Tai who completed the top three of Flight B, bagging 436,000 chips.

Each player has guaranteed themselves at least KRW 820,000 for making it to Day 2. We will also see the introduction of the mystery bounties at the start of Day 2, changing the dynamic of the game. With so much of the prize pool locked up in bounties, we’re sure that we’re going to see a lot of action, so make sure you join us to find out what happens on Day 2.

Who do you think will take down this event? Who will be the lucky player who scores the KRW 20,000,000 bounty? Let us know on social media and stay tuned for all the latest poker news and events.
